We normally work on technical challenges whose solutions usually run in the background. This is also the case with the construction of our large telescope, which places very high demands on the accuracy of its positioning and operation. We had already aligned it in the sky in 2022. But then we encountered various problems. A new encoder had to be manufactured in Mexico, we needed a new wiring harness and the control software had to be adapted. This has now been completed. As a result, any star, nebula or galaxy in the sky can now be approached and found as if by magic. Instead of aligning the telescope and laboriously searching for objects in the sky, you can immediately go to the desired area and start taking pictures. The next generation will be thrilled…
