In addition to our ‘upper’ auxiliary station at the school lab, we also operate a ‘lower’ auxiliary station. This very first station was already built downhill (i.e. below) our service building in 1999. The station is in urgent need of renovation and will soon be equipped with its own dome. We already operate a telescope of 35cm aperture there under a sliding roof. When all work is completed, this station will act as the “Rembold Observatory” together with the ‘upper’ secondary station as a link between the school lab and our large telescope. With the completion of these two stations, the building infrastructure of the student observatory will be finalized.
