The Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst, invited volunteers from the Oberberg district to a reception to honour their commitment. The board of the school observatory, Dr Thomas Eversberg and Dr Klaus Vollmann, took part in this event at the :metabolon innovation site on behalf of the entire STScI e.V. initiative group. This invitation honoured the 16 years of work to establish the extracurricular learning location in Waldbröl and testifies to the high reputation of the observatory in the region. During a discussion with State Secretary Andrea Milz, we mentioned the lack of teaching hours for teachers in their involvement in school working groups.
