For the unbureaucratic promotion of projects of local associations and initiatives, which concern themselves with homeland, the Ministry for homeland, communal, building and equalization of the province North Rhine-Westphalia makes available 1,000 homeland cheques at 2,000 euro each year. The “homeland cheque” is the maker of all such good ideas and small projects, which actually do not cost much money at all, but promise a large increase in value in the thing.
STScI has received a homeland check to finance the purchase of a 3.5-meter telescope dome for the school laboratory.
