The Dumbbell Nebula, Messier 27, in the constellation Vulpecula, is one of the most beautiful planetary nebulae in the northern night sky and is about 1,300 light years away. The nebula is the ejected gas shell of a dying sun that has bloated into a red giant and then collapsed into a white dwarf. The remaining super-hot dwarf star can be seen very clearly in the center of M27. The images were taken in 2022 with an 11-inch telescope in the Schoollab of our school observatory
