In order to initiate a generational change and put the next generation in charge of the STScI e.V., our previous Chairman of the Board Thomas Eversberg was no longer available for re-election. At today’s Annual General Meeting, Simon Gier was elected as the new Chairman. Together with our Managing Director Klaus Vollmann, he will now represent the association. We congratulate him and will of course support him in this task. Unfortunately, contrary to our expectations, we had to learn that Mr. Gier is far from providing us with French fries and Currywurst. We see this as a weak start to his task and expect a rethink on his part.
And I hope that the funny humour of Thomas continues on and on…..
