The astronomy group from Homburgisches Gymnasium Nümbrecht visited us to get to know the school laboratory and its instruments together with their teachers Axel Peter Lepsius and Daniel Jacobs. Somehow a lot of older pupils crept in, who brought the youngsters by car, but then really wanted to take part. The program included Jupiter and Saturn, but also the operation of the telescopes. Jonathan (in the center of the picture above), who didn’t seem to mind the cold, made a very special impression. He then became the victim of a running gag, which he apparently took in stride, just like the cold. Of course, we are now hoping for further visits and projects in the working group and of course hope for active participants.
