This year, both the student observatory and the LEBENSFARBEN association received financial support from the Lions Club Gummersbach-Aggertal. The Lions Club is very interested in strengthening the region through networking between different initiatives. LEBENSFARBEN and STScI have taken this seriously. Several “godparents” with their “godchildren” were shown the observatory, its concept and telescopes during a visit. Amazed faces as well as questions over sausages and mustard made it a well-rounded affair.
