Friday the 13th is not always an unlucky day! The STScI initiator and DLR space manager Dr. Thomas Eversberg invited students from the school network Astronomy Oberberg to meet the future commander of the International Space Station (ISS) at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The German astronaut Alexander Gerst bid farewell to his next 6-month space flight in Bonn on June 6, answered questions from the new scientist generation and received an invitation to the STScI.
